Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using TheAthleteHub (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Who Can Use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use TheAthleteHub. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have parental or guardian consent.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at baz.chodor@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may only create one account per person. Creating duplicate or fake accounts is prohibited.

4. Strava Integration

TheAthleteHub connects to Strava via the Strava API. By connecting your Strava account you authorize us to access and display your Strava activity data on your public profile. You can revoke this authorization at any time from your dashboard or directly in your Strava account settings.

Your use of Strava data through TheAthleteHub is also subject to Strava’s Terms of Service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Strava.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Post or display content that is defamatory, hateful, abusive, or harassing
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our consent
  • Circumvent any security or access controls on the Service

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload (profile photo, bio, etc.). By uploading it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it as part of operating the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful or inappropriate.

7. Pro Subscription

Certain features (“Pro”) require a paid subscription billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with 30 days’ notice.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled
  • You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law
  • Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code comprising TheAthleteHub (excluding your user content and Strava data) is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

“Powered by Strava” and Strava trademarks are the property of Strava, Inc. TheAthleteHub is not affiliated with Strava, Inc.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that activity data will be complete or accurate. Strava activity data is sourced from Strava and we are not responsible for its accuracy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TheAthleteHub and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country of residence, and you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rights provided by local law. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction that cannot be waived by contract.
